Okay, I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t totally get this outfit. I mean, the incongruity between the neon hoop earrings, the boxy shiny black double-breasted (!?) leather jacket, exercise pants (with a hot pink stripe down the side, no less) and peep toe ankle-strap pumps? So weird. But hey, who knows where she’s going. And, let’s be honest, all she really needs to do to make this outfit work is to change her pants.

Okay, I used to think that yellow was a really hard color to wear. I used to think that not that many people could wear yellow. Well, I was wrong. Recently, I got a yellow and blue checked scarf and I think it looks okay on me. And, hey, if there are so many designers out there making yellow gowns, someone must be buying them right? Miss Beyonce looks amazing in hers. Try out this unconventional, cheerful, sunny color for yourself — if you’re like me, best try a few different shades and don’t get discouraged right off the bat.

Beyonce manages to combine a variety of trends and textures — denim, contrast stitching, patent, camouflage, stilettoes, bold colors — and still manage to look cool and put-together. Strong statements are her signature, after all.

What we love about Beyonce is that she just doesn’t care what’s in style and what other people are wearing — the style she rocks is all her own, tailor-made to fit her curves, her lifestyle, her look. Her brown high-waisted pinstripe pants here are absolutely adorable, it’s clear her pale grey sweater is keeping her toasty warm, and her beret? It adds a cute late-80s touch to the whole thing.

Beyonce does casual better than so many other celebrities — she never forgets to sparkle! We love her sequin striped top paired with smart skinny jeans and studded platform ankle boots. Her cropped black satin jacket is the perfect chilly evening cover-up and she’s not afraid to add some understated but trendy black beads to the underlayer of sparkle.

Beyonce may have been laying low all summer, but when Usher launched his brand new eponymous fragrances for men and women this week in New York, she came out in full force on Tuesday in a gorgeous red silk dress, beaded silver clutch, and stunning red and crystal sandals. Beautiful!
