As much as we all love hunting for that perfect statement coat or boldly embellished dress, there’s something to be said for the emphatically shoe-centric outfit.
Gwyneth Paltrow demonstrates this ever so perfectly in her pared down black basics with the fashion equivalent of an exclamation point: hardware-heavy, highly detailed ankle boots. If you can manage teetering about in these similar selections (and it looks like even Gwyneth needs help tackling those stairs), this will communicate that perfect “I tried just hard enough” message.
